As part of the Mormon Documentation Project, this project's goal is to provide the LDS canon of scriptures in a standardized format for third-party applications.
The Scriptures included are all the standard works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
- Old Testament
- New Testament
- The Book of Mormon
- Doctrine and Covenants
- Pearl of Great Price

2006-11-16
A development snapshot for postgresql is available for download. This one adds foreign and primary keys, as well as some cleanup in the naming scheme.

Both fortune-mod-scriptures and fortune-mod-mormon are now available to install in Gentoo Linux.

Started work on a new PHP class to access the database.

Version 2.5.1, an XML bugfix release, is available for download.

Uploaded another demo of the Scriptures, created from the DocBook. Also added the scripts, applications, and notes.

All the exports for v2.4.0 are available now, with a new export for SQLite 3 which is over 50% smaller in size than the SQLite 2 export!

Exports of v.2.4.0 are available now for PostgreSQL, Tex and XML.
2004-11-28
The MySQL export of lds-scriptures v2.4.0 is now available, with other export formats coming shortly. This release fixes a few bugs found in the old documentation, and adds a few new features.
The volumes and books tables now have fields for num_chapters, num_books and num_verses. There is also a new field lds_org which stores the values of the Church's naming scheme for the volumes and books on their website at http://scriptures.lds.org
2004-09-23
A new stable release of the lds-scriptures package is available, version 2.3.0, which features standardized field values for volumes and books, simplified field names for the tables, a few more indexes and lots of bugfixes.
Some much needed documentation has finally been provided.
